Never as the one who has all the photographers yelling her name and smiling and posing for the paparazzi...&nbsp; But for once, I was! <br /><br /><span>My art is included in the Heavy Metal published book "the Art of Agent 88,"</span> which is an art book for the upcoming web series <a title="" target="_blank" href="http://www.agent88films.com">Agent 88</a> produced by Digger Mesch and Jan Utstein-O'Neill, starring British actress, Kay D'Arcy.<br /><br /><span>They actually had FOUR openings, four weeks of parties and signing my art, along with the other 87(!) amazing artists</span> and cast. For the premiere I got to walk on the red carpet as an actual <em>photographee</em> rather than photographer. Photographers were clicking away and saying "Over here! Over here!" as I awkwardly posed and smiled and tried to figure out my best angles. BUT.... Unfortunately, I wasn't famous enough for any of the photos to make the web (yet!!!) so I'm having a problem tracking them down. Hopefully I'll find them so I can document my first 15 minutes of fame. And hopefully there will be more. :)<br /><br /><span></span>Gotta admit, a bit of a dopamine rush. No wonder so many celebs become drug addicts. You actually get a bit of a high with all that attention. Probably need drugs to keep up that dopamine level. Although, eventually, I'm sure it turns into a been-there/done-that job, requiring forced smiles and being "on" for the media and soon wanting to turn to drugs or alcohol for relief!<br /><br />Oh, and guess what! Out of the 88 artists, who I think were almost all more well known than me, only four sold the first night, and mine was one of them! Of course, the one that sold the most, was the one created by Kevin Eastman, creator of <em style="">Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles</em> and owner of <em style="">Heavy Metal Magazine.</em><br /></div> <div><div class="wsite-image wsite-image-border-thin " style="padding-top:10px;padding-bottom:10px;margin-left:0;margin-right:0;text-align:left"> <a> <img src="http://www.popculturetoday.us/uploads/2/2/7/7/2277976/6774561.jpg?345" alt="Picture" style="width:auto;max-width:100%" /> </a> <div style="display:block;font-size:90%">Alicia Hollinger with Kevin Eastman at Agent 88 premiere at Petra Gallerie</div> </div></div> <div class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">All the artists were given the same criteria: We had to create the main character who is now 88 years-old and she must have a red jacket, horn-rimmed glasses, a heart locket, and a knitting needles with 8 balls in her hair. I tend to do mostly pin-up art, so I asked "Can I do her when she was young?" The answer was yes, so I developed my psychedelic 1966 version...<br /></div> <div><div class="wsite-image wsite-image-border-thin " style="padding-top:10px;padding-bottom:10px;margin-left:0;margin-right:0;text-align:center"> <a> <img src="http://www.popculturetoday.us/uploads/2/2/7/7/2277976/5668307_orig.jpg" alt="Picture" style="width:100%;max-width:1066px" /> </a> <div style="display:block;font-size:90%">Wall at Agent 88 Premiere at Petra Gallerie</div> </div></div> <span class='imgPusher' style='float:left;height:0px'></span><span style='z-index:10;position:relative;float:left;;clear:left;margin-top:0px;*margin-top:0px'><a><img src="http://www.popculturetoday.us/uploads/2/2/7/7/2277976/9198507.jpg?240" style="margin-top: 5px; margin-bottom: 10px; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 10px; border-width:1px;padding:3px;" alt="Picture" class="galleryImageBorder" /></a><span style="display: block; font-size: 90%; margin-top: -10px; margin-bottom: 10px; text-align: center;">Agent 88 1966 by Alicia Hollinger at Petra Gallerie</span></span> <div class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;display:block;">I was so proud that mine got a red dot (sold!)
