Chuck Wolf, author of the upcoming book "A Ranch Day Retreat: Life Improving, Productivity Enhancing, and Leadership Enabling Concepts Guided by the Model of Horses in Nature" (available this summer on Amazon,) is bringing a unique personal and leadership development workshop to Los Angeles-- with the help of some equine assistants...
If you ever wanted to spend a day on a horse ranch, without all the work, interacting with horses, but not riding, with no fear falling off and breaking your neck, a Ranch Day Retreat in Pacific Palisades could be for you.The event promises a fun day to take time out for yourself, away from the stress of the city, and commune with nature while participating in stimulating activities and exercises that will leave you feeling connected, refreshed and rejuvenated. And, according to Wolf, we will learn just what it is that horses have to teach us about ourselves. Which is probably a lot more than we will learn from the latest fashion week party...
The first date for this workshop is scheduled for this coming Wednesday, May 27th from 10am to 5pm at Will Rogers State Historic Park, sponsored by Westside Riding School, located at 1501 Will Rogers State Park Rd. Pacific Palisades, CA 90272
The facilitator, Wolf, says “We will cover some interesting topics from the book, which focuses on equine facilitated personal and leadership development. Some of the most interesting concepts are alignment, congruence, coherence, synchrony and entrainment, as they relate to the horse-human bond. We will have some fun and interesting exercises with horses, all geared toward the non-rider. It’s a workshop format with plenty of time for personal reflection and relaxation in nature. The important thing to convey is that it’s not for horse-people, but for anyone interested in personal development, with a unique twist and inspirational setting. Some take-aways are productivity tools, leadership effectiveness tools, creative problem solving tools, goal setting techniques, communication skills, and work ethic. Participants can take tangible tools back to their organizations and families. The goal is to take time out to gain direction, to re-energize, so that we can go back into our lives and persevere, and to be active players."
"It’s a day to get away from the office, email, cell phone, traffic and urban density. Busy executives to home makers and students will benefit by the concepts covered in A Ranch Day Retreat. Which makes a great gift or incentive, by the way.”
Chuck Wolf, a Los Angeles resident from the Southbay and Pacific Palisades, is a public speaker, and certified instructor for the international course, "Success: Full Living." He is the author of "A Ranch Day Retreat," and is also a fine art dealer and curator for the Los Angeles Animal History Museum. His interests include ocean conservation, marine wildlife protection, and animal rescue. He is a recreational rider, and holds a BA in Psychology from Indiana University.
